SEBUAH sesi perkongsian ilmu antara Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) dan Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (PROLINTAS) telah berlangsung di Conference Room, Wisma MRT pada 4 April 2018.

PROLINTAS adalah dimiliki 100% oleh Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) dan bertanggungjawab untuk beberapa projek lebuh raya seperti Lebuhraya Damansara-Shah Alam (DASH) yang akan datang, Lebuhraya Koridor Guthrie dan Lebuhraya Kajang SILK.

Lawatan ke ibu pejabat MRT Corp adalah untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut tentang pelabagi aspek projekitu yang telah dipersembahkan kepada orang awam.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan PROLINTAS Dato’ Mohammad Azlan Abdullah telah mengetuai 33 delegasi dan disambut oleh Pengarah Projek MRT Laluan Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (Laluan SSP) Dato’ Amiruddin Ma’aris.

Apabila tiba, Amiruddin menyampaikan matlamat Projek MRT ditubuhkan. Berdasarkan hasrat Kerajaan Malaysia untuk menjadikan Kuala Lumpur dalam senarai 20 bandar yang didiami pada 2020, industri keretapi dilihat sebagai salah satu perkembangan yang harus dimantapkan, maka ideologi untuk membina MRT terhasil.

Video perkembangan MRT Laluan SSP telah dikongsi dengan para hadirin untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang projek ini.

Ketua Kuarters Pekerja, Kesihatan, Keselamatan dan Alam Sekitar MRT Corp Encik Mohd Yusof Kasiron telah menyampaikan dan membincangkan tentang cabaran-cabaran yang dihadapi oleh MRT Corp sebelum memulakan pembinaan.

Unit Keselamatan dan Kesihatan harus memastikan bahawa reka bentuk stesen dan jejambat adalah selamat sebelum kerja-kerja boleh dilaksanakan oleh kontraktor.

Pengurus Komunikasi Strategik dan Pihak Berpentingan MRT Corp Encik Wallace Soh Chun Hwei kemudiannya menerangkan peranan berbeza yang dimainkan oleh bahagian ini dalam projek.

Berkaitan interaksi dengan pihak berkepentingan, Projek MRT telah belajar dari MRT Laluan Sungai Buloh-Kajang (Laluan SBK) bahawa mereka patut berhubung dengan Ahli Parlimen sebelum orang awam.

Maklumat terakhir yang telah diberikan kepada PROLINTAS adalah daripada Penolong Pengurus Besar Pengurusan Kontrak MRT Corp  Encik Hasnul Hashimi dan Encik Lau Pui Weng.

Mereka telah memberikan maklumat tentang peranan yang dimainkan oleh bahagian pengurusan kontrak dalam projek.

Selain daripada memastikan projek dilaksanakan mengikut kos, mengurus dan mentadbir kerja-kerja kontrak secara adil juga dilakukan.

Sesi perkongsian ilmu ini telah berakhir dengan pertukaran memento sebelum makan tengah hari dihidangkan kepada para hadirin. Kakitangan PROLINTAS berasa lawatan ini menguntungkan kerana ia akan dapat menolong meningkatkan kualiti projek lebuh raya mereka.

PROLINTAS is 100% owned by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) and is in charge of various highway projects such as the upcoming Damansara-Shah Alam (DASH) Highway, Guthrie Corridor Expressway and Kajang Silk Highway.

The visit to the MRT Corp offices was to learn more about the various aspects that the project presents itself to the public.

PROLINTAS Group Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Mohammad Azlan Abdullah led the 33-strong delegation from his organisation and was welcomed by MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line Project Director Dato’ Amiruddin Ma’aris.

Upon their arrival, Amiruddin presented the reasoning on the MRT Project being initially set up.

In line with the Government of Malaysia’s aim to make Kuala Lumpur a top 20 liveable city by 2020, the rail industry was seen as one the developments that needs to be made, hence the ideology of the MRT came to fruition.

The SSP Line project progress video was then shown to the attendees to help their understanding about the overall project background.

MRT Corp Centralised Labour Quarters, Health, Safety, Security and Environment Head Encik Mohd Yusof Kasiron then took to the floor and discussed the challenges that were faced by MRT Corp prior to construction.

The Safety and Health unit has to ensure that the design of the stations and viaducts were safe before works can be started by the contractors.

MRT Corp Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations Manager Mr Wallace Soh Chun Hwei then underlined the different roles that the division plays in the project.

With regards to engagements with various stakeholders, the MRT Project has learnt from the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line that they should engage with Members of Parliament (MP) prior to engaging with the public.

The last piece of information that was presented to PROLINTAS was by MRT Corp Contract Management Assistant General Managers Encik Hasnul Hashimi and Mr Lau Pui Weng.

They both disseminated information regarding the roles the contract management department play in the project.

Besides ensuring that the project is delivered within cost, managing and administering that contract works are being paid fairly is also done.

The knowledge sharing session ended with a memento exchange session before lunch was provided to the attendees. Members from PROLINTAS definitely felt that this was a beneficial visit for them to help improve their ongoing highway projects.
