An engagement session with the residents of Kampung Wadihana was organised by the Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) Project on 10 February 2022 at Dewanraya Wadihana, Johor Bahru.
The engagement session was held in conjunction with the commencement of construction works for the Maintenance Depot at Kampung Wadihana. The session also served as a platform to allow the residents to raise their concerns and provide feedback with regards to the project.
Representing Malaysia Rapid Transit System Sdn Bhd were Encik Asnan Ayob, Head of Civil Constructions, Encik Redzelan Mohamad, Head of Authority Liaison and Stakeholder Relations and Encik Aman Shah, Project Manager of Civil Construction. Also present were the representatives from the appointed contractor, Adil Permata Sdn Bhd (APSB), Encik Kamarul Baharin Yusof and Encik Thomas Matthew.
About 40 residents attended the session and were briefed on the overview of the RTS Link Project and the construction works that would be taking place at Kampung Wadihana. Towards the end of the session, the floor was opened for questions from the residents relating to the project.
Among the topics discussed were on road closures, environmental impacts, traffic management and other issues affecting those living close to the RTS Link alignment. The project will continuously ensure that concerns of all stakeholders will be well managed and promptly attended to.
