A group of 14 participants from the Perdana Fellow Programme (both current and alumnus) had paid a visit to the Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) headquarters on 4 January 2019 to learn more about the MRT Project as well as the industry that it is in.
The visit was part of a series of knowledge sharing sessions between the programme and various other organisations, where one of their recent notable session was with the World Bank.
In understanding the country’s various industries and how it affects the nation’s economy, the participants had a series of questions for Dato’ Najmuddin Abdullah, MRT Corp Acting Chief Executive Officer on the learning experience gained from the Project as well as MRT Corp’s way forward with the Government’s direction.
A number of the participants are currently attached to various Government ministries, such as the Prime Minister’s Department and the Ministry of Health. The many different backgrounds that the participants were from had made the session a rather interesting one as their areas of concern and interest varies from one another.
The session ended on a good note, with the participants gaining quite an insight into the MRT Project.
