Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) held an iftar(breaking of fast) with the media at Aloft Hotel in KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur on 21 June 2016.

Approximately 100 members of the broadcast and print media attended the iftar.

Besides the act of breaking of fast together in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan, this annual event was also a way for MRT Corp to get to know the media better and to strengthen its relationship with them.

The event also served as a token of gratitude to members of the media for their interest in and coverage on the Klang Valley MRT Project, which has helped inform and educate the public on the project.

Before the Maghrib azan which marked the breaking of fast for the day, MRT Corp Director of Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations Dato’ Najmuddin Abdullah took the opportunity to deliver his welcome remarks.

Besides reiterating the importance of the good relationship with the media, he also provided some updates on both the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line and the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line.
