Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) has won the Silver Award for the Employer of Choice in the 16th Malaysia HR Award 2016.
Deputy Minister of Education I, Dato’ P. Kamalanathan presented the award to MRT Corp Director of Strategic Human Resource, Encik Zainudin Ismail during the Dinner and Award Presentation event at Hilton Hotel, Petaling Jaya on 27 October 2016.
The Employer of Choice recognises sustained and continuous commitment by the organisation for the development of its human talents.
The organisation must display strong evidence of alignment and achievement of HR strategies; with business objectives, goals and KPIs.
It must also demonstrate achievements in the areas of Talent Management, Leadership Development and Performance Management as well as have in place, a progressive and dynamic human resource management policies, culture and work systems that support high productivity and high income.
Another criteria is that the organisation shows strong support of both the Government’s strategic reform initiatives on Human Resource development and growth of HR institutions/community.
Lastly, there must be evidence of strong and continuous application of HR system and technology.
The Silver Award is given for achievements of good rating.
Three stages of rating and selection process were conducted where the final stage saw an eight member panel deliberate and select top winners of respective categories, whom were invited to present their achievements.
The panel then came to a collective decision.
The Malaysia HR Awards is a national event which has been organised by the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) since 1999.
Aimed at raising standards and recognising excellence in Human Resource Management, it is strongly supported and endorsed by the human resource community, with the Minister of Human Resource as the patron.
MIHRM is the principal body for Human Resource Management in Malaysia, having been established in 1976 with association, affiliation and recognition in 95 countries.
It has trained and certified more than 20,000 Human Resource professionals.
