Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) together with MBSB Bank Berhad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the industry, in a strategic financial collaboration. The signing ceremony was held on 11^th April 2023 at MBSB Corporate Headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

The MoU sees the two parties collaborate in various areas to assist Bumiputera entrepreneurs in increasing their potential income, and accelerate their growth and competitiveness in the open market.

The signatories to the MoU were MRT Corp Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim and MBSB Bank Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Nor Azam M. Taib.

Through this MoU, MBSB Bank will provide financing to Bumiputera contractors and vendors involved in projects managed by MRT Corp. Financing will also be provided to the participants of the MRTS Young Entrepreneur (MYEP) program, where a maximum of 15 companies will receive start-up fund of RM 5,000 each upon award of RTS Link Project contracts.

In his speech during the signing ceremony, our CEO highlighted that MRT Corp is committed in its Bumiputera Agenda, and will continue to will assist qualified Bumiputera entrepreneurs to increase their competitive edge against strong players in the market
