On 10 April 2012, Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) hosted members of the MCA Hulu Langat Division at the Kajang MRT Information Centre. The members, led by Dato’ Choong Tow Chong, had requested for a briefing on the Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT alignment at Kajang. The briefing was carried out by MRT Corp’s Leong Shen-li and MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (PDP) Sdn Bhd’s Kee Yu Kiong.

The proposed alignment was changed from going above Jalan Besar in the centre of Kajang to a new alignment beside the Kajang Stadium and above Sungai Langat following objections from affected shopowners and other members of the public during the 3-month public display of the Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT line railway scheme from February to May last year. The new alignment affected fewer private properties. However, one of the properties affected by was the MCA Hulu Langat Division headquarters which is currently under construction.
