THE tenth Bumiputera ballot for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line was held on 7 June 2018, at the Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) Corporate Headquarters.
Ten (10) subcontract work packages with a total value of RM 6.85 million were awarded.
Previously, a total of RM 107.38 million for 81 work packages had been awarded.
The ballot was organised by the MRT Corp Administration and Bumiputera Relations Department.
Attendees included Persatuan Kontraktor Bumiputera Kelas ‘F’ Malaysia (PERKOBF Malaysia) President Encik Tukiman Radion, Malay Contractors Association of Malaysia (PKMM) General Manager Ir Kamarudin Mohd Saleh, Entrepreneur Development Division of Works Ministry (BPKU) Secretary Encik Zureen Zubir, BPKU Assistant Secretaries Puan Zuliza Ibrahim and Encik Nabil Fikri Aris.
Also in attendance were CGC Malaysia Financial Institution/Development Financial Institution Assistant Vice President Encik Zaid Jamalluddin and Senior Executive Encik Mohd Akhair Abdul Rahman.
MRT Corp Administration and Bumiputera Relations General Manager Encik Zarif Zainul and Contract Management Assistant General Manager Encik Hasnul Hashimi Hashim represented MRT Corp.
Prior to the balloting session, all the contractors participating for the contracts are required to have CIDB Malaysia licenses before being entering the ballot.
The successful contractors will now receive their letter of award for them to begin works as stipulated in their respective contracts.
