The Rapid Transit System Link Project welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Transport headed by Transport Minister YB Datuk Seri Ir. Dr Wee Ka Siong to several of the project sites in Johor Bahru on 27 January 2022.
The delegation was received by RTS Link Project Director Ir. Zulkifli Mohamed. Also present were Head of Civil and Construction Asnan Ayob, Planning and Control Head Tan Mun Kit, Head of Authority Liaison and Stakeholder Relations Redzelan Mohamad, Ekovest Berhad Executive Chairman Tan Sri Dato Lim Kang Hoo and representatives of Adil Permata Sdn Bhd, the project contractor.
The visit began with a technical and safety briefing by Asnan, who also briefed the delegation on the current construction progress.
The delegation then proceeded to visit the Maintenance Depot site at Wadihana, Bukit Chagar Station and Immigration, Customs and Quarantine (ICQ) Complex site, and the alignment route along Jalan Tun Abdul Razak where they had the opportunity to observe Preliminary Test Pile (PTP) works that were being conducted at the site.
The RTS Link project is a railway shuttle link approximately 4km in length between Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Singapore with a capacity of 10,000 passengers per hour per direction.
