The MRT Putrajaya Line Project won two Safety and Health Assessment System in Construction (SHASSIC) awards during the Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC) & SHASSIC Day 2021, held at the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur on 14 December 2021.
Deputy Minister of Works Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup presented the awards, accompanied by CIDB Malaysia Chief Executive Datuk Ir. Ahmad Asri Abdul Hamid.
The awards recognised two packages which received 5-Star ratings for having demonstrated overall excellence in project implementation including safety and health practices.
The packages were Package V204 for the Construction and Completion of Viaduct Guideway and other associated works from Bandar Malaysia Selatan Portal to Kampung Muhibbah under WCT Berhad and Package SY205 for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning of Power Supply and Distribution System, which was under Colas Rail System Engineering Sdn Bhd.
MRT3 Project Director Tuan Haji Yusof Kasiron and Acting Head of Standard and Compliance, Encik Azhar Sofah received the awards on behalf of MRT Corp.
Also present to receive the award was Colas Rail System Engineering Sdn Bhd Project Director Mr. Paul Martin.
