A DELEGATION from the Ministry of Transport visited several sites of the Rapid Transit System Link
(RTS Link) Project Between Johor Bahru and Singapore in conjunction with the commencement of
construction work.
The visit, which took place on 23 November 2021, began at the Wadi Hana Depot site where RTS
Link Head of Civil Construction, Encik Asnan Ayob briefed the 25-strong delegation which was
headed by the Ministry’s Land Division Deputy Under-Secretary Encik Muhammad Asraf Sukadi. The
Ministry’s Director General of Rail Encik Shahriman Shafein was also present.
On the RTS Link Project Team’s side, Head of Programme, Planning and Control Encik Tan Mun Kit,
Head of Civil, System and Interface Encik Azlan Mahmud and Head of Authority Liaison and
Stakeholder Relations Encik Redzelan Mohamad were also present.
After Wadi Hana, the delegation headed to the Bukit Chagar Station and Immigration, Customs and
Quarantine Complex site. There, they have the opportunity to observe the commencement of
Preliminary Test Pile (PTP) works that were being conducted at site.
The delegation was then visited the alignment route along Jalan Tun Razak and saw the relocation of the 900mm water pipeline. The fine site visited was the coastline at Stulang where the marine viaduct will be built across the Straits of Johor to Singapore.
The visit ended with delegation returning to the MRT Corp Johor Bahru Office.
