TWO sub-contracts were awarded to Bumiputera Contractors during the 13^th Bumiputera Balloting Session for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.

The accumulative sum for the contracts that were awarded at the Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) Corporate Headquarters on 5 October 2018 was RM 263,125.00.

The ballot was organised by MRT Corp Administration and Bumiputera Relations Department and was led by its General Manager Encik Zarif Zainul.

In attendance were MRT Corp employees, Entrepreneur Development Division of Works Ministry (BPKU) and officials from Persatuan Kontraktor Bumiputera Kelas ‘F’ Malaysia (PERKOBF Malaysia).

Zarif mentioned that prior to the day’s balloting session, a total of RM 31.9 million worth of contracts had been awarded to Bumiputera contractors.

The successful contractors will now receive their letter of award for them to begin works as stipulated in their respective contracts.
