THE fourth edition of Hari Ceria Bersama MRT Corp was held on 16 and 17 August 2018 at the MRT Information Centre (MIC) Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.
The aim of Hari Ceria is to educate the community around the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line (SSP) Line about the MRT Project and the importance of public transportation especially to the young.
The two-day event was filled with fun activities for 67 children from Little Caliphs Sentul (Tadika Cerdik Kembara). Accompanied by five teachers, the pupils were divided into two groups of 34 and 33 children on 16 August 2018 and 17 August 2018 respectively.
This initiative was a collaborative effort between Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) and the Project Delivery Partner for the MRT SSP Line, MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd.
Little Caliphs is an Islamic-English-Creative pre-school programme that helps pre-school children to realise their best spiritual, cognitive, socio-emotional and physical potential.
Activities on both the days started with a colouring contest where the children were given forty-five minutes to complete the task of colouring a train photo of the MRT SSP Line. The best three entries were selected as winners whereas another eight were considered to be consolations.
The second activity that was organised for them was a jigsaw puzzle contest where the children were divided into six groups. They had to then complete a puzzle that illustrates a MRT Station, within twenty minutes.

The trip also coincided with their monthly activity theme which is transportation, thus making the two-day event memorable for all children and teachers from Little Caliphs Sentul.”
The two-day event was a success and MRT Corp hopes to engage with more educational institutions for similar events like this.
