THE THIRD Hari Ceria Bersama MRT Corp was organised by Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) with its project delivery partner, MMC Gamuda KVMRT Sdn Bhd on 30 April 2018 at MRT Information Centre Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.

A total of 28 children aged from nine to twelve years old from Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) participated in the event.

The objective of this event was to educate and create awareness among communities around the areas of the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line about the MRT Project.

The programme began with a colouring contest where the children were given forty-five minutes to complete the task by colouring a train photo depicting the train used for SSP Line for which the best three entries were selected as winners.

After the colouring contest, the YCK children then took part in a jigsaw puzzle contest. In a group of three, the children were assigned to complete the jigsaw puzzle illustrating the MRT stations. The first three groups to complete the jigsaw puzzle were chosen as winners.

1st – Supergirl (Marissa Nurul Janna Bin Abd Rashid, Chuchia Achira, Siti Jihadah Binti Abdullah)

2nd – Three Heroes (Muhammad Feroz Bin Said Alam, Mhd Surya Fahjal, Muhammad Khizar Hayat)

3rd – TFF Girls (Mariyam Adawiyah, Chhuan Chan Thina, Faridah Abdul Shukur)

Winners of the contests brought home personal essentials worth RM100, certificate of participation and their artwork in an IKEA frame.

YCK Programme Executive, Jamil Ishak said, “The YCK children enjoyed their trip to MRT Information Centre and look forward for more activities as they rarely have this type of opportunity with external parties. We (YCK) would love to engage with MRT Corp for future betterment of the children.”
