MEMBERS of the public in the vicinity of Bentong were given the opportunity to learn more about the MRT project when Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn. Bhd (MRT Corp) participated in the MOT Carnival organised by Ministry of Transport (MOT) on 24 March 2018.

Held for the first time, the one-day carnival was officiated by Minister of Transport Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai and served as a touchpoint programme for MRT Corp to get the locals to know more about the MRT Project.

The MRT Information Truck (MIT) was deployed to showcase the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line where information officers from both MRT Corp and MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd, as the Project Delivery Partner (PDP) were on hand to disseminate information by entertaining enquiries as well as distributing brochures.

More than 800 visitors visited the truck which also had games organised as well as flyers handed out on the job vacancies available in the company.

This activity was in conjunction with the career fair which was organised to promote career opportunities and training programmes provided by the government particularly in the transportation and logistics industries.

This was in addition to the various other activities arranged at the carnival such as coloring contest and sports competition.

Besides MRT Corp, more than 20 government agencies took part in the carnival.
