WITH the Global Transformation Forum (GTF) being organised in Kuala Lumpur from 22 March 2017 – 23 March 2017, 25 delegates from Albania, Uganda, Russia and Portugal visited the MRT Project on 21 March 2017.
The delegates were from various governmental positions and were keen to see for themselves the concrete achievements from the National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) in the Greater Kuala Lumpur.
Primarily organised by the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), the delegates were also going to visit Masjid Jamek area as part of River of Life’s transformation as well as KL City Gallery.
Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations Deputy General Manager Mr Leong Shen-Li welcomed the delegates to the Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT Station. Here, they boarded the train for a return trip to Surian MRT Station.
During the visit, the delegates managed to ask various questions about the project including the link between the KLIA Ekspres and the MRT. The connectivity between the two services will be at the Muzium Negara MRT Station where passengers can then board the train to the airport via KL Sentral.
The delegates enjoyed the hour-long visit of the MRT stations and train ride that was given to them.
