A DELEGATION from the Ugandan Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development was briefed on the Klang Valley MRT Project as part of their visit to Malaysia on 2 October 2018.

The briefing was given at the Department of the Director-General of Lands and Mines at Wisma Sumber Asli in Putrajaya. The delegation of eight which was led by Minister Ms Betty Amongi, was on a benchmarking visit here to learn about Malaysian legislation regarding land and land acquisition.

The briefing was given by Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd General Manager Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations Mr Leong Shen-li, who also spoke about land acquisition issues for the KVMRT Project. Accompanying him was Assistant General Manager Commercial and Land Management Encik Azhar Abdul Aziz.

After the briefing session, the delegation took a ride on the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line from the Stadium Kajang Station to the Tun Razak Exchange Station.
