Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) held its second general briefing session for legislative members on 22 February 2019 at the Bandar Malaysia North MRT Information Centre.
The attendees were the second batch engaged by MRT Corp in a series of town-hall sessions held to brief Members of Parliament (MP) and local authorities of the latest construction progress in the V203, V204, V205 and Underground package areas, namely from Batu to Bandar Tun Razak.
A total of 7 representatives from the MP offices and one from Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur attended the session.
These representatives were from the offices of YB P. Prabakaran (MP for Batu), YB Datuk Seri Rina Binti Mohd Harun (MP for Titiwangsa), YB Fong Kui Lun (MP for Bukit Bintang), YB Teresa Kok (MP for Seputeh) and YB Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar (MP for Bandar Tun Razak).
MRT Corp Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations Manager Wallace Soh Chun Hwei welcomed the guests to the briefing session and introduced the background.
Thereafter, the presentation was carried out by MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd Public Relations and Stakeholder Management Assistant Manager Keshavar Ganesparan and Deputy Head of Approval Management Shariffuddin Mohamed Idris.
Similar to the first briefing session held in January 2019 covering V201 and V202 packages, the attendees were briefed on the latest construction progress of the related packages as well as the recent rationalisation of cost-saving efforts by MRT Corp.
The briefing session ended with a light lunch.
