A signing ceremony of a mutual agreement between Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) and Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) was signed at Bilik Kesidang, Level 9, Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya on 10 March 2017.
The two parties signed the agreement to seal the collaboration of the second MRT line, MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line with the future development in Putrajaya especially in Precinct 7 which is planned to be as the Partial Commercial Centre in Putrajaya.
The SSP Line will cover from Sungai Buloh to Putrajaya which includes Sri Damansara, Kepong, Batu, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Tun Razak, KLCC, Tun Razak Exchange, Kuchai Lama, Seri Kembangan and Cyberjaya.
In addition to provide facilities for the commuters, this agreement aimed to extend the partnership for building the multi storey park n ride and lay-by facilities at the future station in Putrajaya.
The signatories to the mutual agreement were MRT Corp Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Shahril Mokhtar and Perbadanan Putrajaya President Datuk Seri Haji Hasim Ismail.
Witnesses of this signing ceremony were MRT Corp Project Director SSP Line Dato’ Amiruddin Ma’aris and PPj Vice President Town Planning Dato’ Fadlun Mak Ujud.
Speaking at the ceremony, Datuk Seri Haji Hasim Ismail said this mutual agreement will set the ease to pave the way for future development in Putrajaya. Known as well-planned city, Perbadanan Putrajaya is looking forward to give full support in providing the first and final mile connectivity to the commuters.
Among the attendees were MRT Corp Construction Director SSP Line Encik Nor Saidi Muda, MRT Corp Company Secretary Mr David Loo Kean Beng, representative from our Project Delivery Partner (PDP) MMC Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Mr Param Sivalingam, and from Perbadanan Putrajaya were Corporate Service Vice President Dato’ Rogaizat Abdullah, Town Service Vice President Datuk Azizi Ahmad Termizi, Park and Landscape Vice President Datuk Baharuddin Aziz and Treasury Vice President Nik Shukri Nik Soh and senior staffs of both parties.
The signing ceremony ended with a group photo and lunch.
