WITH the Government of Malaysia announcing its approval of the MRT 3 Circle (CCL) Line on 30 October 2017, Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) has been making numerous preparation works on the 40 km in length line that will begin operations by 2025.
Announcement of tenders and various briefings for the scope of works required for CCL Line have been ongoing since the approval was given.
MRT Corp organised its highly coveted tender briefing for turnkey project contractor on 15 November 2017, at its Corporate Headquarters.
The job scope involves engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of tunnels, viaducts, stations, depots, trackworks, rolling stock, signalling, power supply and other associated works.
During the tender briefing, various MRT Corp heads of departments such as from procurement, finance operations and rolling stock provided explanation for each of the different components.
It attracted a massive number of 141 companies comprising of over 300 individuals from around the world.
Turnkey model undertakes the entire responsibility from design through completion and commissioning of the project.
