EMPLOYEES of Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) were given the opportunity to learn more about the MRT Project when Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT Corp) participated in #JomPicnic SSM programme on 10 February 2018 at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur.
SSM, an agency under the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry held the nation-wide picnic programme for the first time as part of SSM’s year-long Happy Family campaign with the objective to promote the importance of a strong family institution.
MRT Corp, as one of SSM strategic partner, joined the picnic to help increase awareness of the MRT Project to SSM employees and family members.
A booth was set-up showcasing the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line with information officers from both MRT Corp and MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd, the SSP Line Project Delivery Partner, on-duty to disseminate information by entertaining enquiries as well as distributing brochures.
More than 200 visitors visited the booth where in addition to learning more about the MRT Project, they also walked away with MRT merchandises.
SSM Chairman, Datuk Seri Jamil Salleh launched the Happy Family campaign together with SSM Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Zaharah Abd Wahab Fenner and mentioned that healthy activities would reduce stress among staff and it was important for employees to stay positive and productive.
Jamil also launched “10 Nilai-Nilai Kekeluargaan”, a book on family values that listed 10 actions that could be taken to show care and love for the family.
