Head of Corporate Access Origination South East Asia of City Group Sarah See recently organized a visit to the recently opened MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line on 16th March 2017.
This programme consist of 25 representatives from City Group Singapore, Hong Kong as well as Malaysia. The representatives were part of a three-day tour which was a part of a visit to various Malaysia’s plans to oversee the latest infrastructure development in Malaysia. Due to the rise of development in Malaysia, they aimed to personally see the growth from various companies.
They took a ride on the MRT train from the Sungai Buloh MRT Station to the Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT Station.
Leading the tour was Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) Deputy General Manager of Corporate Communications Mr Leong Shen-Li. He was also met by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad of Group Communications and Strategic Marketing Encik Shahrizal Md Shah.
Prasarana Malaysia Bhd manages the MRT line and is currently the operator of the SBK Line.
Joining them on this visit were DanaInfra Nasional Berhad Encik Adi Johan and Encik Asri Ahmad.
DanaInfra has played a vital role in the development of the MRT Project; which is a part of the Greater KL/Klang Valley Integrated Transit System under the Land Public Transport Commission of Malaysia (SPAD).
At the Sungai Buloh MRT Station, the entire delegates was shown on how the station was integrated with the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) services. Passengers can now transfer from one line to another and be connected through a common concourse with ease. Each of them were then handed a token to take a ride on the train.
While they waited for the train to arrive at the platform, they were all briefed on how the automatic train operations system works and the challenges that MRT Corp and Prasarana Malaysia Berhad has to go through.
Afterwards they boarded the train and headed straight to the Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT Station. Throughout the journey, Leong Shen-Li conducted a Question & Answer (Q&A) session while also explaining the special attributes and landmarks situated along the railway.
The visit ended at the Pusat Bandar Damansara Station where the representatives had final explanations about the commercial development of MRT Corp and each member from Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia were presented with a souvenir goodie bag.
