The Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department paid a working visit to the Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) Project Between Johor Bahru and Singapore on 28 October 2021 for a project briefing and technical meeting.
The delegation of 20 senior officers from various departments was led by Director General Dato’ Sri Ts. Mohammad Hamdan Haji Wahid and included Deputy Director General (Development) Dato’ Edwin Galan Teruki, Director of Fire Safety Division Ts. Ahmad Izram Osman, Director of Fire and Rescue Operations Division Dato’ Nor Hisham Mohammad and Johor Fire and Rescue Department Director Dato’ Hj Yahaya Hj Madis. They were hosted by RTS Link Project Director, Ir. Zulkifli Mohamed at the MRT Corp Johor Bahru Office in Menara Jland, Johor Bahru.
The visit started with a briefing by Ir. Zulkifli on the overview of the project which was followed by a technical meeting. The delegates were then brought on a tour along the RTS Link alignment and made several stops such as at the Wadi Hana Depot and Bukit Chagar Station sites to view the project planning and technical aspects.
The visit ended with a presentation of memento to Dato’ Sri Ts Mohammad Hamdan as a token of appreciation.
