Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) had organised its 17th balloting session to award the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line contracts to Bumiputera Grade 1 to Grade 4 contractors at MRT Corp Corporate Headquarters on 13 February 2019.
Eight subcontracts at a total value of RM 4,739,255.79 were awarded. The balloting exercise was organised by MRT Corp Administration and Bumiputera Relations Department.
For the Grade 1 (G1) category, a total of four subcontracts were awarded at a total value of RM 661,113.90. Two subcontracts worth RM177,585.19 each for the Supply and Installation of Road Marking Works were awarded to Mawar Sari Enterprise and Pembinaan Yas. Meanwhile, two Drainage Works at Kg Batu Station (Part3.1) and (Part 3.2) subcontracts worth RM135,333.15 and RM170,610.55 were awarded to Hasrat Padu Enterprise and Right One Construction respectively.
As for the Grade 2 (G2) category, the subcontract for Drainage Works at Kg Batu Station (Part 2) was awarded to DBR Construction and Services Sdn Bhd.
Two subcontracts with a total value of RM1,244,125.82 were awarded for the Grade 3(G3) category. Access Builders Services Sdn Bhd was awarded the subcontract for Serdang Raya North Station (Pedestrian Bridge & Sewage Treatment) worth RM533,976.67 whereas the subcontract for Drainage Works at Kg Batu Station (Part 3.4) worth RM710,149.15 was awarded to Anggerik Sinar Enterprise.
For the Grade 4 (G4) category, Exquisite Resources Sdn Bhd was awarded the subcontract for the Drainage Works at Kg Batu Station (Part 3.3) worth RM2,478,248.85.
Present at the balloting event were Persatuan Kontraktor Bumiputera Kelas ‘F’ Malaysia Vice President Aziah Abd Hamid, Ministry of Works Corporate Planning Division Secretary Zureen Zubir, Malay Contractors Association of Malaysia Assistant Secretary General Dato Fauruddin Daud and representative from Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad, Hamimi Md Shamsudin.
MRT Corp Administration and Bumiputera Relations General Manager Zarif Zainul represented MRT Corp.
The eight successful contractors will now receive their letter of award for them to begin works as stipulated in their respective contracts.
