A BALLOT for Bumiputera contractors for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line was held at Menara Usahawan, Putrajaya on 25 July 2017.
The session was organised with co-operation from Bahagian Pembangunan Kontraktor dan Usahawan (BPKU), Kementerian Kerja Raya.
Eight (8) subcontract work packages with a total value of RM4.0 Million were balloted to select Bumiputera Contractors Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia Grade G1 to G4 for the construction of SSP Line works.

The ballot was conducted by Persatuan Kontraktor Bumiputera Kelas ‘F’ Malaysia (PERKOBF Malaysia) President Encik Tukiman Radion, Malay Contractors Association of Malaysia (PKMM) General Manager Ir. Kamarudin Mohd Saleh, Contractor and Entrepreneur Development Division of Works Ministry (BPKU) Secretary Encik Zureen Zubir, Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit of Prime Minister’s Office (TERAJU) representative Puan Farisyah Ibrahim, and MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd representative Puan Anis Mardhiah Mukhtar
MRT Corp Chief Integrity Officer Dato’ Zainal Adam was also present as a witness and participated in the ballot.
Upon completion of the ballot, MRT Corp Bumiputera Relations General Manager Encik Zarif Zainul explained that the contractors that have been awarded the contracts will be issued a letter of appointment.
The next ballot for Bumiputera contractors will be organised in September 2017.
